CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men’s golf team returns for its fourth tournament of the season to host the Bryson Invitational, October 13-15, in Daniel Island, SC, at Daniel Island’s elite Ralston Creek Course.

The Cougars are coming off a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams at the inaugural Bryan Bros Collegiate. The Cougars were one of seven teams to finish under par at Solina Golf Course.

Over the course of three rounds, the Cougars made 178 pars, sank 46 birdies, and earned three eagles. Marno Lange (67), Loran Appel (68), and Miles Eubanks (69) all had under-par rounds in the 60s, while Charleston's best round came in the second round, when he turned with an 8-under card. Lange's score of 67 marks Charleston's second-lowest round of the season. From the second to the third rounds, the rookie played 34 straight holes without a bogey.

Both Lange and Appel finished in the top 20 at T19 (-3), moving up 30 spots from their starting positions on the first day. Lange set his career low round of 67 in his second collegiate competition, and Appel was just one stroke away from matching his career low round of 67.

Nevill Ruiter finished T24 (-1), turning in back-to-back 69 rounds to open play in Columbia. The senior sank six birdies in the second round, four on the back nine.

Charleston will look to make their mark as this is the first time hosting the Bryson Invitational.

Fourteen teams will join the Cougars on Daniel Island for the three-day event.
